When I test out a plugin, there’s a few integral areas I look at within the first 30 minutes.

Can you guess what they might be?

• Support is probably Number One
  • If the after install support is non-existent then it’s likely the developer is coding for food instead of coding for the benefit of his customers and users. Coding for Food is the wrong mindset, if they want my support.

• Quality of Features
  • This is different to the number of features.
  • Quality is about workflow.
  • The attention to detail in how a particular feature operates within your site as well as the finesse in how it’s options enable you to do what you need to do, given your own niche uniqueness.

• What’s in the Box?
  • Every blog or website has a burning desire to increase its authority and the prime target is Google. Google gives an extra line to the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page) listing with those cute and fancy Star ratings

You know me. I’ll give feedback on just about anything where I see an improvement can be made. hReview was no different and that was my first introduction to the plugin’s author – Hesham Zebida

What a great and totally helpful guy. I had the WP Testimonials plugin for a day and saw areas I thought could be of value to GeekandJock and certainly to other site owners.

Hesham smashed it out of the park! The first few were minor and he corrected and issued an update that day. Then some more came flying out of my head which were a little more work – you guessed it, Hesham saw the value and went to work. That’s what I call the ultimate value in a small priced plugin and saves you time and headaches.

The only area that I find distasteful is the oricing model. A 6 month renewal subscription is a tough act for most people to stomach, if you ask me.

The proof will be in the continual updates and proof the plugin actually works, in the long term.
