When you live on the sunshine coast, there’s a few places the simply resonate that ‘country feel’. Immediately, the names of Montville and Maleny spring to mind.
Well that’s where we’ve spent today – showing the sites to Nic and Pam, though Pam has already had a day trip to Montville.
Mind you, it’s been about 15 years since I was last in Maleny. I remember back then it was a busy place and renowned for its quaint trinket and craft shops. A popular haunt for tourists passing through the area and an outlet for the locals to sell the wares they produced during the week.
Well, Maleny turned out to really be the sleepy town for aging hippies, living the organic lifestyle. Good to revisit but we were more in the mood to wander through tinket shops and browse ‘arty’ types of places. Next stop was Montville.
Which is always a good wander. Plenty of trinkets to check out and was a good walk. Pam and Nic’s legs got worn out so we left late afternoon, with more stuff still to see. That for the next trip. Check out some snaps below too.
